I have been consulting for organizations during the past twenty years in organizational training and development. The evolution of AT&D has progressed from general management consulting to marketing consulting; from entrepreneurial startups to psychological testing programs for selection and succession; from organizational development interventions to training ROI evaluation; and most recently the delivery of corporate training with ACE recommended college credits. These seven core consulting areas are analyzed and evaluated by AT&D using the medical model-"prognosis without diagnosis is malpractice."
At AT&D we believe that the most vital resources in an organization are the people that bring their time and effort, skills, knowledge and abilities, motivation and desire to the workplace every day. We believe that people will either work for you or against you and appreciated or depreciate in value. We think it is the responsibility of the organization's management to communicate, lead and treat people so they will feel honored, rewarded and valued.
In order to have improved productivity, we can ramp up our technology, buildings and equipment to give us more effectiveness and efficiency or we can develop our human resource talent. It is not uncommon to find human resources working at a level of under utilization. To integrate the concerns of the people with the needs if the organization is an essential skill of management needed to turn these assets around. For instance, many times employees know how to do a better job, reduce waste or improve operations if someone were to only ask them.
AT&D conducts quality of work life surveys and focus groups to find out what is working and what is not working inside your organization. We recommend training programs that are customized to fit the organizational needs analysis. We then complete the delivery of training, with an evaluation of this training, to see where a transfer of learning has occurred at the job, and to what extent a return on investment was achieved.
Our training programs are designed to tap the untapped resources of your organization's human resources. Sometimes it is as simple as asking them what they think management ought to do, and at other times it is making sure the latent talent can be released through challenging work, needs fulfillment, or careful listening skills. We offer over 30 modules in business management and criminal justice that probe critical areas of an organization's dynamics to facilitate action plans for improvement. Each module is outcome driven and has 20 hours of training time with recommended college credit.
